Thoughts Upon Waking
Life gives us all the raw material that we will ever need.
We are allowed to decide if we want to build bridges or walls.
For years, I prided myself on my walls. I learned to build them well.
Finally, I realized that this form of “safety” demanded that I remain isolated and alone.
Now, even though I understand the risks, I choose to build bridges.
